What the official sources actually say

Everything in this section comes from the developer, the publisher, or the Steam store listing itself.

• Steam store page (AppID 3639070). The platform field returns Windows only — no Mac, no Linux. Both system requirement columns list Windows 10/11 64-bit. There is no "also available on PS5 or Xbox" link anywhere on the listing. This is the single most authoritative statement of where the game is sold, and it says PC. • The pre-launch press release "Before You Play BLACKWOOD" (AttritoM7 Productions and IZilla Games, 14 September 2026). Word for word: "BLACKWOOD: Act 1 just days away from its September 16 launch on Steam." This is worth more than it looks. The entire purpose of that release was to tell people what to know before buying, and it still mentions only Steam.
• The reveal-era press release and gameplay-video announcement (October 2025) used the same phrasing: "coming to PC via Steam."
• The Act 2 and Act 3 roadmap (official Steam announcement, 26 August 2026) covers release windows and the free-update pricing model. It does not mention platform expansion anywhere — not to confirm it, not to deny it.

Where we looked and found nothing

This is the part most "is it on PS5" pages skip. Below is where we went looking for a console version and came up empty, with each source labelled.

• Gematsu, the reveal report from October 2025 — an independent games news site, not an official channel. Its wording was written separately from the publisher release and still says "coming to PC via Steam in Q3 2026," with no console mention.
• allthings.how, explainer updated 12 September 2026 — again not an official channel. It describes BLACKWOOD as "a single-player PC title" and walks through the whole three-act roadmap without a single reference to console platforms.
• The official X accounts @Blackwood_game and @Attrito_M7 — a targeted search for console, PS5 and Xbox posts about BLACKWOOD returned nothing.
• TrueAchievements and TrueTrophies, the Xbox and PlayStation achievement trackers — third-party community databases, not official. Neither has a BLACKWOOD entry. These sites normally pick a game up shortly after a console announcement, so an empty result is a mild supporting signal.
• Xbox.com and PlayStation Store search returned no product for BLACKWOOD. Being straight with you: both search pages render their results in the browser, so an automated check cannot see the real result list. We are treating this one as weak supporting evidence only, not proof. weak evidence

DualSense support is not a PS5 version

The Steam listing carries a DualSense support tag, and that tag is the single most common reason people end up convinced a PS5 version exists.

It does not mean that. DualSense support on Steam is a PC controller compatibility category: it tells you the game handles a PlayStation pad plugged into your PC. Console releases are a separate store, a separate build and a separate announcement. A game can carry every controller tag Steam offers and still exist only on PC.

The ZERO HOUR confusion

Here is the trap, and it catches search engines as well as people.

AttritoM7 Productions has an earlier game called ZERO HOUR, and ZERO HOUR is coming to console. The studio's own X post reads: "Zero Hour is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S this Fall!"

That post is about ZERO HOUR. It is not about BLACKWOOD. Same studio account, different game — which is exactly why a search for "AttritoM7 PS5" can surface a genuine console announcement that has nothing to do with the game you are asking about.

Not announced is not the same as never

What follows is our own reading of the evidence, not an official statement.

Three things line up: official channels stay silent in the exact places where a console plan would normally be mentioned; four independent sources describe the game as PC/Steam and only PC/Steam; and a targeted search for console evidence turns up nothing. Together that supports one conclusion, stated precisely:

As of our last source check on 15 September 2026, there is no public information that BLACKWOOD has been released on, or is planned for, PS5 or Xbox.

That is the ceiling of what the evidence carries. It is not the same as "BLACKWOOD is PC exclusive" or "there will never be a console version" — nobody official has said either of those things, and we are not putting words in their mouth. The studio's own track record cuts the same way: ZERO HOUR is only now getting console versions, well after its original release.

So the honest answer to "will it come to console" is that these questions have no public answer today:

• whether a console port is in development at all
• whether one might arrive alongside Act 2 (around March 2027) or Act 3 (around September 2027)
• whether a console release, if it ever happens, would be current-gen only or also cover PS4 and Xbox One

We would rather leave those blank than guess. If you want the game now, PC is the only way in — see what it costs.

What would change this page

Any of these would be the first place a console announcement shows up, and they are what we watch:

• the official X account @Blackwood_game
• the Steam store page platform field and the official announcement feed
• publisher press releases from AttritoM7 Productions and IZilla Games
